On the road again – finally!

Hi everyone.

After what’s been a considerable break (whilst the never-ending world cup took place -well, apart from England fans for whom it ended all too quickly!) DSOTW finally get back to doing a live show with a return to The Roadhouse in Birmingham on Saturday 19th July. We’re in the rehearsal room again next week to get back into the groove and are all really looking forward to heading over to Birmingham, having already enjoyed a couple of great shows at this small but atmospheric venue where the audience are 100% enthusiastic from the off. The Roadhouse is a proper venue with a real live music vibe. Full details are as follows:

Saturday 19th July
THE ROADHOUSE
Wharfside Leisure Complex
Lifford Lane
Stirchley
Kings Norton
Birmingham
B30 3DZ

Tickets are just £8 for advance or alternatively, £10 on the door on the night.

The venue’s website is at

Following this gig we start preparing for what will be DSOTW’s biggest stage yet when we take to the Main Stage to perform an hour long set on the opening night of the 3-day long ‘Sunshine Festival’ in Upton-on-Severn on Friday 22nd August. Festival details can be found at http://uptonfestival.wix.com/sunshineupton

Then we follow this with a busy autumn/winter period that sees us playing a further seven shows to take us to the end of the year. Also, behind the scenes the band’s co-managers (Steve and Mick) are presently in discussions with several great new venues for 2015.

In the meantime, and we’re sure you’ll all have seen the news this week, we have the exciting prospect of a new Pink Floyd album due out in October called ‘The Endless River’. Can’t wait to see what musical delights that brings – and whether we include any of it in future set lists!

Keep shining on!
