In The Flesh in Worcestershire

Hey everyone.

With well over 20 years of live performances behind us, the audience reaction we’ve been hearing at recent shows is that the band are performing better than ever. That’s always great to hear and it’s something we can attribute to a combination of two things. Firstly, Adrian is now no longer the ‘new boy’ and with several gigs under his belt his performances are ‘wow-ing’ everyone. He has proved to be a brilliant addition to the band and we’re absolutely delighted to have him on board following last year’s departure of our long-standing friend Andy Nixon, who’s wonderful musicianship brought so much to DSOTW over the years. Secondly, working regularly with our ever-willing and always professional crew, namely Norm and Russ of Abstract Audio, has become a massive part of what we do. These guys go to extraordinary lengths to provide us with the best sound and lights we’ve ever had. All the bricks in our wall are nicely in place right now!

Some show news…

Next Saturday sees us heading down to Worcester for the first of two trips to that fair county this month. These will be our last two live shows for a couple of months due to holidays and venue availability etc so here’s the details….

Saturday 11th May sees us back at the very wonderful Swan Theatre, right next to the racecourse. We’ve been playing this venue since 2004 but this year will be the first time we show off Adrian on lead guitar. This was of course the setting for Andy’s last gig with us this time last year so we’re looking forward to everyone seeing his replacement in full Floyd action! Doors open at 7.30pm for an 8.00pm start and tickets can be bought by calling the theatre’s box office on 01905 611427 or via their website at http://worcesterlive.co.uk/events_review.asp?eid=453061338

Then at the end of the month we’re playing The Mello Festival that takes place over the bank holiday weekend at the Severn End Country Estate, Hanley Castle. We’re finishing the night on the Melomania Stage on Saturday 2th May and are last on at 11pm. Details on tickets, the campsite and all you need to know about the other acts appearing can be found here: https://www.mellofestival.co.uk/

If we don’t see you in Worcestershire this month we hope to see you in August in Leicester or at various other shows in the autumn.

Shine on
