DSOTW debut: The Mill Arts Centre, Banbury (December 2012)

Hitting the stage at just 6 years of age, wearing over-sized tap shoes and baby blue ribbons,
I sang Nancy Sinatra’s ‘These Boots Are Made For Walking’…and never looked back.

Current day professional vocalist/performer and event manager, I now work both on and off
stage with an enviable number of first class musicians and vocalists, singer-songwriters
and studio producers and live music venues/promoters – music was my first love….you know
the next line.

Having fronted and managed successful pop/rock bands nationally over the last 25 years
and sessioned as a backing vocalist with star-studded line-ups at festivals and promotional
venues, I accepted ‘the call’ from DSOTW’s Ted Duggan in December 2012 to dep a few gigs
– now, fully on board for 2013, I am thrilled to be working alongside the very talented Sofia
Wilks – we aim to add the very best in live performance and backing vocals, fully
complementing front man Mick Freeman and the awesome musicianship DSOTW brings to
each and every show.

I continue to manage and front my awesome rock n pop covers band ‘BIG WEDNESDAY’
which has been my heart since 1993 – influences: The Pretenders, Alanis Morrisette, Free,
The Police, John Mayer, Led Zeppelin, Natalie Imbruglio, Baby Animals, Paul Weller, Prince,
Thin Lizzy, Doris Day and Annie Lennox.

I am currently song-writing/co-producing my first solo album ‘DARKEST HORSE’ with Jim
Lantsbery (formerly of Top 80s band King)…… a scintillating mix of blues, soul, rock & groove
– the ‘Janie Jones Diary’ is always stacked yet hopefully 2013 will see the long awaited
completion of this exciting project – it is looking like a jolly good year ahead – bring it on…..!
